GRANDPA’S OATMEAL COOKIES

3/4 C canola oil ( I use  half the mount apple sauce and cut back on the oil ), 1/2 c oil and I add orange
marmalade jam about three tbsp)
3/4 c brown sugar
1 c flour
_ tsp salt
 tsp baking powder
rind and juice of 1 lemon,
2 c quick cooking rolled oats or old fashioned oats
1/2 cupc each of chopped almonds, chocolate chips
3 eggs

Mix everything in a large bowl.
Grandpa mixed everything together thoroughly, I think he used white sugar
not brown, bake at 375% for at least 10 minutes).

Another Oatmeal Cookie  recipe, I found, of his:

 1 and 1/2 C canola oil ( I use half c apple sauce, 1/2 c oil and I add

3/4 c brown sugar, 3/4 c white sugar

1 c flour

6 c oatmeal

1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
rind and juice of 1 lemon,

3/4 cup each of chopped almonds, chocolate chips

6 eggs

bake at 400% for 20 minutes in a pre-heated oven on a greased cookie sheet,

or waxed paper lightly greased.


Bubby’s Beer Cookies I found coconut oil and it's wonderful, that's what I put in the last time I made it)

6 c flour in bowl
make a well, whip in  3 eggs-4 eggs  in well, add
1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, minced garlic 6 cloves, (bubby did not use
garlic)dash of cayenne, 1 medium chopped onion, 4tbsp poppy seeds  (I  presautee the onion  and garlic until golden)
1c oil, 1 bottle of beer
mix all the ingredients together 1 tsp drop on pammed cookie sheet,
flatten w/fork, pierce w/ fork
Bubby rolled them out w/ a rolling pin and cut them out w/a glass rim. I just cut long strips and pierce w/fork
bake @ 375 until golden about 15 min
